Angels Postgame: Aaron Hicks Homers as Halos Grab Win Over Diamondbacks

Defense and pitching powered the Angels today.

The Los Angeles Angels picked up another win in Spring Training, this time with the final score being 4-1 over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Halos allowed one run and six hits over the nine innings, showing off impressive pitching.

Starter Griffin Canning got things going for the Angels, going three innings of allowing one run, three hits and striking out three batters. He was impressive today and showed why he deserves a spot in the starting rotation this season.

On the offensive side of things, outfielder Aaron Hicks went yard to tie the game at one in the sixth inning. It was his first home run as a member of the Angels, and he continues to put together a nice spring.

The Angels made some nice defensive plays in the outfielder, first from Taylor Ward.

Jo Adell got into the action as well, showing off his range in the outfield.

It was a good overall day for the Halos, as they got a solid win. Next up for them is a matchup against the Chicago White Sox tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 pm PT.
