Angels' season opener is right around the corner and we have received more updates regarding the final roster.

First baseman Jared Walsh will begin the year on the injured list due to headaches and insomnia. This announcement comes after he sat out of three straight Spring Training games and has been away from the team.

Back in December, Jake Lamb agreed to a minor league deal with the Halos and was given the opportunity in Spring Training to fight for a main roster spot. He has been able to successful do that and will be suiting up for the Angels on Opening Dat.

Both of these updates were reported by the LA Times' Sarah Valenzuela.

"Jared Walsh (headaches) and Max Stassi (hip) will start the season on the IL."

"Jake Lamb and Logan O Hoppe will be on the Opening Day roster."

Walsh did not have the best 2022 season for LA. He was forced to miss part of the season due to thoracic outlet syndrome but prior to that, he posted a slash line of .215/.269/.374 and recorded only 15 home runs. He was expected to produce much more than that and hopefully once he is healthy, he will get back in their good graces.

O Hoppe has seen most of his time in the minor leagues but is now gifted the chance to secure a spot on the main roster. He got off to a good start in Spring Training where he stepped up to the plate 36 times and posted a .799 OPS.
