The Los Angeles Angels have reportedly signed right-handed pitcher Hans Crouse to a minor league deal.

Crouse, 25, has only made two MLB appearances, both as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies in 2021.

Crouse was drafted in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. He worked his way up the Texas minor league ranks, before being traded to the Phillies in a blockbuster deadline deal in 2021.

He then made two starts with the MLB squad that year, allowing four earned runs in 7 innings pitched.

Crouse was with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate for all of 2022 and most of 2023, but did make an appearance in Double-A and even Single-A last year.

Now, he's heading to the Angels, where he'll hope to make an impact on the big league roster at some point during the 2024 season.

Crouse is a local kid from Dana Point who went to Dana Hills High School. It's not yet known if he'll receive an invitation to major league spring training.
