In order to make room for the reliever on the 40-man roster, the team has designated infielder Livan Soto for assignment. The deal is for $1.75 million.
He spent the last five seasons with the Detroit Tigers, becoming one of their more reliable arms. Cisnero played in 62 games last season for Detroit, posting an ERA of 5.31.
The veteran made his big league debut with the Houston Astros in 2013. He struggled out of the gate, posting an ERA of 4.12 over 28 appearances. But his move to the Tigers a few years later found him a home.

He now lands with the Angels and will look to reclaim his 2022 form. Cisnero posted an ERA of 1.08 over 28 games for the Tigers.
If he can get back to this type of effective production, the Angels will have gotten a steal. The front office has revamped the bullpen this offseason with the hope of locking down late-inning games for the Halos.
