Former Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels right-handed pitcher Bartolo Colon will be officially honored by the team he spent three seasons of his career with, the New York Mets.

The ceremony will take place when the Angels visit the Mets for a three-game weekend series on the East Coast. Colon had a significant four-season stint with the Angels in the mid-2000s and earned his second All-Star appearance in 2005.

During his time as an Angel, Colon performed admirably as a starting pitcher, amassing a record of 46-33 with a 4.66 ERA. He recorded 422 strikeouts and a 1.34 WHIP in 95 starts, pitching a total of 586.2 innings. Colon's last season in the Major Leagues was with the Angels' division rivals, the Texas Rangers, in 2018.

Having played for 11 different teams over a remarkable 23-year career, Bartolo Colon left an indelible mark on the game. However, it is his moments with the Angels that hold a special place in our hearts. We are delighted he is enjoying a well-deserved retirement and look forward to the retirement ceremony celebrating his contributions.
