Longtime Los Angeles Angel outfielder Kole Calhoun will be heading to the east coast.

The New York Yankees announced they signed Calhoun to a minor-league deal earlier today.

Calhoun spent eight seasons with the Halos from 2012-2019. In his time in Orange County, he slashed .249/.322/.424 with a .747 OPS, 140 home runs, and 451 RBIs in 966 games and over 3500 ABs.

The 35-year-old elected for free agency after the 2019 season and signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He spent two seasons there before joining the Texas Rangers in 2022. The southpaw had his worst season since his first year in the league, averaging .196 in 125 games.

Kole signed with the Mariners in February and was released a month later. He will now prove himself with the Yankees minor league club, and we'll see how he performs there.

The Angels legend has been gone for a while, but he'll never be forgotten. We wish him the best in New York.
