Your Los Angeles Angels were granted the day off after their first freeway series of the year against the Los Angeles Dodgers and didn’t necessarily meet their own expectations. They were coming in hot after winning four straight series and looked to get some wins against their city rivals.

Unfortunately, we all know what happened as LA could not even muster up a single run in their two losses to the Boys in Blue and now have a record of 41-35.

LA also watched as one of their former pitchers, Kyle Barraclough signed a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox and also made his debut with their AAA affiliate, the High Point Rockers. The deal was first reported by Red Sox beat writer Chris Cotillo.

Barraclough was with the Angels since 2022 and saw most of his time in AAA then as well. He played 41 games with the Salt Lake Bees and posted 3.00 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP. Following that season, he opted to head into free agency and now has been getting comfortable with Triple-A Worcester.

He made his debut with his new organization on Wednesday and was able to last six innings on the mound while only allowing one hit. We wish him the best of luck moving forward even though he is not with LA anymore.
