The Los Angeles Angels got themselves back into the win column on Friday night after a 5-4 comeback win against the Cleveland Guardians on the road.

The Halos scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to regain the lead thanks to Hunter Renfroe's fielder's choice and Brandon Drury's sac fly. Angels closer Carlos Estevez sealed the deal in the bottom of the ninth to get his ninth win of the young season.

It was a great team win, and everyone was ecstatic, including Angels superstar Mike Trout, who told OC Register's Brian Dulik it felt good getting this win on the road.

“It’s a big team win, I’m going to look back at this one,” center fielder Mike Trout said. “Clase is one of the best closers in the game. It’s tough to hit off him, but we just kept fighting.

“It’s good to get a win here because they play us tough and they have a good ballclub over there.”

Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase has been one of the better closers in the league, but the Halos came out aggressive and caused his fourth-blown save opportunity in 17 tries.

This was the Halos' 21st win of the season, and they remain within striking distance of the AL West's top spot. The Angels will look to win this weekend series tonight with young LHP Reid Detmers.
