Shohei Ohtani's First Game Against Angels Date Revealed

The Halos will see their old friend this upcoming week.

The Los Angeles Angels will face their old friend for the first time ever.

According to Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, former Angels superstar and Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani will face his former team this upcoming week.

OC Register's Bill Plunkett reported on X.

The Halos will face Ohtani on Tuesday in Camelback Ranch.

In early December, the two-time AL MVP left the Angels for their freeway rivals in free agency. Ohtani left for the Dodgers, signing a 10-year, $700 million contract, the largest free-agent contract in MLB history.

Ohtani established himself as one of the best players in baseball, but unfortunately, couldn't lead the Angels to new heights. However, as we all know, it wasn't his fault.

In his time in the red and white, he slashed .274/.366/.556 with a .922 OPS, 171 home runs, 437 RBIs and 681 hits in 701 games. That's only as a batter.

As a pitcher, he recorded a 38-19 win-loss record, 3.01 ERA, 608 strikeouts, 3.30 FIP and a 1.08 WHIP in 481.2 innings and 86 games.

His time as a Halo will always be remembered in Halos' minds and hearts. This game won't mean much in the long run, but it'll be nice for the Halos fans to have something over him for now.

Although all eyes will be on the matchup on Tuesday, the Halos still have four games to play before that game.
