It is a must-watch whenever Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani is on the mound. Ohtani is one of the best pitchers in the game today and already one of the best players to ever grace the field.

Ohtani made his second start yesterday against the Seattle Mariners and picked up his first win of the season. However, the way he stole a baseball from the umpire is more impressive than that.

His pitching is just as good as his offense, and apparently, so are his pit-pocketing skills. While Angels manager Phil Nevin was speaking to umpire Pat Hoberg, Ohtani and his interpreting were listening in, and Ohtani gave his best impression of a five-finger discount.

Is there anything Ohtani can't do?

We're not quite sure who Ohtani was tossing the ball to, but his pit-pocketing skills are incredible.

For those wondering why Ohtani did what he did, we have to look back at a late spring training game in 2023. An umpire was handing a baseball to Phillies star catcher JT Realmuto, and as he backed his hand away without looking, the umpire threw him out for apparently just making him look like a fool.

But when Ohtani did the opposite, it was all good with the umpire. Not choosing sides, but it was cool seeing Ohtani be slick.

The two-way superstar is a must-see whenever he's on the mound, batter's box, or casually talking to an umpire.
