Houston Astros Set Final Roster For ALDS vs. Minnesota Twins

The Houston Astros have made their final moves for their ALDS series with the Minnesota Twins, which starts on Saturday.

The Houston Astros have set their final roster for the American League Division Series with the Minnesota Twins, which starts on Saturday at Minute Maid Park.

Game 1 is set for 3:45 p.m. central. Game 2 is set for 7:03 p.m.. Game 3, which is to be played in Minneapolis at Target Field, will start at 3:07 p.m.

Game 4 on Wednesday in Minneapolis and Game 5 in Houston, if necessary, will have their game times set next week.

The Astros left relief pitcher Kendall Graveman off the roster due to right shoulder discomfort, per the Astros. Outfielder Michael Brantley was one of 14 position players to make the roster.

The Houston Astros climbed into a tie with the Texas Rangers in the American League West Division on the final day of the regular season and won the No. 2 seed by virtue of head-to-head tiebreaker. The Astros got a bye through the AL Wild Card playoffs.

The Twins clinched their AL Wild Card series over the Toronto Blue Jays with a 2-0 Game 2 victory on Wednesday.

The Twins and Astros have met in the postseason, as the Astros defeated the Twins, 2-0 in an AL Wild Card series in 2020. But that was at a neutral site due to COVID-19 restrictions.

This series also reunites the Astros with one of their former stars, Carlos Correa. The shortstop played with the Astros from 2015-21 and was part of the organization’s first World Series title in 2017. He joined the Twins in free agency in 2022 and re-signed with them last offseason.
