The rosters for every WBC team are trickling out on MLB Network, but one beloved former Oakland A's player, Yoenis Céspedes, has officially been added to Team Cuba's roster.

The 37-year-old Céspedes has been on the comeback trail the past few months, playing a handful of games with Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican Winter League. In 18 games he has hit .188 with a .239 OBP and a .646 OPS, slugging 4 homers in 71 plate appearances.

He last appeared in the Major Leagues back in 2020 with the New York Mets, but left the team eight games into that season and hasn't been back since.

Earlier in the off-season I was personally hoping for the A's to take a chance on Céspedes and bring him into Spring Training with a shot at being the team's DH, but it looks as though the team has filled pretty much any vacancy he could have hoped to occupy.

This could be the last time baseball fans can see La Potencia on the big stage, but however he plays, it'll be nice to see him back on the diamond at least one last time.
