Braves Briefing: How will Atlanta address left field?

How will Atlanta address Eddie Rosario?

The Atlanta Braves run ended earlier than we all expected it to at the hands of the NL East rival Philadelphia Phillies.

The offseason is upon us and Atlanta will be making moves to try to put themselves in a better situation a season from now. One of the bigger questions this offseason is how Atlanta will handle left field.

Kevin Pillar seems to be moving on based on a social media post he made over the weekend and Eddie Rosario is due a $9 million team option. Regarding decisions about everyday starters for the Atlanta Braves, this one may be the most relevant. Atlanta will look to add more arms as well but when looking at Atlanta's everyday lineup, Rosario's contract situation may be the most crucial.

In 2023, Rosario was a .255 hitter, hit 25 home runs, and recorded a .755 OPS.

His career average is .268, with 25 home runs, and a .766 OPS.

It will be huge to see how Atlanta handles the 32 year old's contract.

We wrote it

Over the weekend, Atlanta Braves relievers Lucas Luetge and Dereck Rodríguez have officially elected free agency, per reports.

Lindsay Crosby of Braves Today wrote about the news.

Luetge, 36, pitched in 12 games for the Braves this season, with a 1-0 record and 7.24 ERA. Acquired via trade from the New York Yankees in December for minor leaguers Indigo Diaz and Caleb Durbin, Luetge struck out 14 in his 13.2 innings of major league work. He also walked seven and gave up two homers.
Rodríguez, 31, was claimed by Atlanta off of waivers from the Twins in May. He appeared in only three MLB games during his Atlanta tenure, giving up eight runs on eight hits and four walks in just 4.2 innings.
