WATCH: Austin Riley gets the Braves on the board with a two-run bomb

A moon shot from Austin Riley gave the Braves a 2-1 lead over the Brewers.

The Braves went down 1-0 in the top of the first inning as former NL MVP Christian Yelich scored on a wild pitch from AJ Smith-Shawver.

Austin Riley didn't let that deficit stand too long as he sent an absolute moon shot over the left center field wall that traveled a whopping 463 feet.

This homer left that bat a 111.1 mph, leading to the ball traveling all the way to Canada.

Ronald Acuña Jr. was on base after leading off the inning with a single, and he, of course, came around to score on the Riley bomb.

Answering is always crucial in baseball, so it was great that the Braves were able to come back from the 1-0 deficit during their first plate appearance of the ball game.

The Braves are looking for the sweep of the first-place Milwaukee Brewers but will need more loud contact like they got from Riley to do so.

Let's take a look at Riley's absolute monster homer that gave the Braves a 2-1 lead.

What's Next?

The homestand will continue as the Braves host Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels. The Halos have been playing some good ball of late and made some significant trades, so this should be a fun series. Hopefully, the Braves are able to continue winning series and, in doing so, send the Angels back to L.A. unhappy.
