Austin Riley heads into the 2023 season as one of the best players in the MLB.

A season ago, he had a big year, earning him his first All-Star bid behind a .273 average and 38 bombs.

The Braves are considered one of the front runners to win the World Series, and for this to happen, Riley will need another monster year at the plate.

Let's take a look at Riley's 2022 stats.

2022: .273 BA/ 168 H/ 93 RBI/ 38 HR/ 39 2B/ 57 BB/ 159 G

The one number you would love to see go up for Riley in 2023 would be his rbi's.

Riley finished 21st in the MLB in RBI's a season ago with 93. This may lead people to wonder why this is a number we would love to see go up in 2023. The reason to me is the fact that Matt Olson, in the three-hole, had ten more RBI's than Riley batting fourth.

They call the four-hole the clean-up spot for a reason. There should be a lot of ducks on the pond when Riley comes up to bat.

If Riley could tack on 15 more RBI's this season, I believe this could lead to a few more wins for the Braves in 2023.

The Braves All-Star third baseman is definitely on his way to another big season, hopefully ending in the Braves hoisting the Commissioner's Trophy.
