WATCH: Spencer Strider's dangerous slider gets 4th strikeout

Spencer Strider is getting it done against the Miami Marlins.

Spencer Strider earned his fourth strikeout of the series opener against the Miami Marlins with style.

He went with a beautiful 84-mph slider in the third inning to continue his strong start to the outing.

This is just the 25th career start for Strider in his young career; he is 12-4 with a 2.71 ERA and 201 strikeouts in his 25 starts and 129.1 innings, good for an elite 14.0 K/9. In total, his 41 career appearances have resulted in a 14-5 record and a 2.65 ERA.

Pitching matchup vs the Miami Marlins

Starting for the Braves is the studly Spencer Strider. The Braves righty is 2-0 on the season with a 2.45 ERA, striking out 36 in his 22 innings of work. He's faced Miami twice in his career, going 0-1 in two relief appearances, both early in the 2022 season.
