Braves Players Get Great Rankings in MLB The Show 24

The digital versions of the Atlanta Braves are just as good as their real-life counterparts

The Atlanta Braves are going to be a fun group of players to watch in 2024.

And almost as fun when you control them yourself.

Developers for MLB The Show released the rankings for the 2024 version of the game, and several Atlanta Braves are among the best in baseball at their respective positions.

As expected, the rankings are led by reigning National League MVP Ronald Acuña Jr, grading out as a 99 overall player. It's a fitting grade for Acuña, who put up only the 5th 40/40 season in baseball history and did it with an unprecedented 72 stolen bases.

Acuña was one of only five players to receive a perfect 99 ranking in this year's game, joined by New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, and a pair of Los Angeles Dodgers, designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (the reigning American League MVP) and infielder Mookie Betts, runner up to Acuña for NL MVP last year.

But Acuña wasn't the only member of the Braves to score above 95, with three more Atlanta players being at or above that mark:

SP Spencer Strider - 97
1B Matt Olson - 96
3B Austin Riley - 95

Strider led all of baseball in strikeouts with 281 as he finished inside the top five for the NL Cy Young award (and is the betting favorite for the award this season). Olson led all of baseball in homers with 54, while Riley parleyed yet another stellar season - .281 with 37 homers - into his third consecutive top-seven finish in MVP voting.

Rounding out the top six for the Braves were catcher Sean Murphy and centerfielder Michael Harris II, both receiving a score of 89 overall in the game.

MLB The Show 24 officially releases on March 19th and will be available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
