Ronald Acuña Jr. helps brother get a picture with MLB star

Ronald Acuña Jr. helped out his brother get a picture from an MLB star.

Ronald Acuña Jr. was honored at the BBWAA's MVP Award Banquet this weekend.

The Atlanta Braves reigning MVP was joined by his family, including his brother Luisangel Acuña. His brother wanted a picture with the other star that was being honored.

Ronald Acuña Jr. asked fellow MVP Shohei Ohtani for a picture with his brother at the MLB MVP Banquet. The former Angel and now Los Angeles Dodger seemed happy to take a picture with Acuña's brother.

“I’m only scratching the surface of my abilities in this sport,” Acuña stated at the banquet. “I’ve never felt healthier, quicker, or stronger than I do now.”

You can see the moment between Acuña and Ohtani below.

Ohtani signed a historic deal the the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this offseason - 19 years and $700 million. It was the largest contract in sports.

Both Acuña and Ohtani were voted as unanimous MVPs for their respective leagues for their work in 2023. It's easy to see why.

Acuña hit 41 home runs and stole 73 bases in 2023, making a new club for himself as he is the only player in the history of baseball to achieve those numbers in a single season. He also had 217 hits, 106 RBIs, and hit .337 on the season.

Ohtani led MLB in wins above replacement with 10.1. Acuña was third with a WAR of 8.1.

Acuña and Ohtani will face off when the Braves head to LA to take on the Dodgers on May 3rd.
