Vegas Betting Odds Have Manager Brian Snitker With the Most Job Security in all of MLB

The Atlanta Braves are led by one of the best managers in MLB

The Atlanta Braves have a rich managerial tradition as an organization, with twelve Hall of Famers in the franchise's history.

From Bobby Cox to Frank Selee, some of the greatest managers in baseball have been part of the organization. It's a rich tradition that the team treats with care, only having had three full-time managers since Bobby Cox came back to the role in 1990.

And it's that legacy, combined with his history of excellence, that has Vegas betting odds naming Brian Snitker the safest manager in all of Major League Baseball.

BetOnline, releasing their "First Manager Fired" lines for the 2024 season, have Brian Snitker with the lowest odds of being fired first in 2024, at only 75/1. Even some of the newest managers in baseball, like Cleveland's Stephen Vogt (50/1), Los Angeles Angels skipper Ron Washington (40/1), and Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell (50/1) are all considered to be 'closer' to being let go than Snitker.

Snitker, 68, is entering his ninth year as manager of the Braves, holding a 646-509 career record and winning the 2018 NL Manager of the Year award. Since that 2018 win, Snitker has never finished lower than 4th in the award, including two consecutive third-place finishes in the last two seasons. He led Atlanta to the 2021 World Series championship and managed the 2022 National League All-Star team as a result of that victory.

BetOnline's hottest seat among the 30 MLB managers belongs to Yankees skipper Aaron Boone, currently at 5/1 odds. Divisional rival Washington and their manager Dave Martinez are second on the list, at 6/1, while Bud Black of the Rockies (7/1), Alex Cora of the Red Sox (10/1), and Tigers skipper A.J. Hinch (12/1) round out the top five.
