WATCH: Travis d'Arnaud gets Atlanta on the board, scoring two in the series finale
On occasion, the bullpen game works better than you expected it to.
Tristan Beck, former Atlanta Braves pitching prospect that's been working in relief for San Francisco this season, was today's "opener" for the Giants but did much better than that title implies.
Matter of fact, he had a no-hitter going into the 5th inning, in his first official MLB start.
But that fifth inning...whew, Tristian Beck probably wants half a dozen pitches back in that one.
After a walk and a double put Marcell Ozuna on 3rd and Eddie Rosario on 2nd, Travis d'Arnaud came to the plate with Beck's pitch count in the 60s and did not make it easy on him.
Atlanta's now tied at 2 and after a single given up to Orlando Arcia, Tristan Beck's been lifted from the game and Atlanta's threatening here in the 5th.
