Chicago Cubs Calling Up Top Prospect Tuesday for MLB Debut

The Chicago Cubs are reportedly calling up their top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies.

The Chicago Cubs are in the thick of a playoff race, both for a Wild Card spot and for the National League Central division.

They are trying to catch the Milwaukee Brewers and are making noise in the process.

Chicago will now have some reinforcements to help them in their endeavor.

According to ESPN, Cubs top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong is being called up by Chicago and will be activated Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies.

Crow-Armstrong is the #12 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline.

It is a well deserved call-up for the outfielder who is slashing .271/.350/.479 with six home runs in 34 games for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs.

He should slot in well into an outfield that could use a little help and may be able to give the lineup a boost.

Additionally, the Cubs most likely want to see how Crow-Armstrong handles the Major League competition as he could be Cody Bellinger's replacement if the latter leaves in MLB free agency this winter.

This is a moment both Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs faithful have been waiting for for years.

His time is now.
