Chicago Cubs Send 17 Representatives to World Baseball Classic

The Chicago Cubs will be sending 17 of their players to the 2023 World Baseball Classic to represent their country.

The final rosters for the 2023 World Baseball Classic were announced on Thursday evening. Now that the dust has settled, the picture is clear. The Chicago Cubs will have 17 players that will represent their country and their franchise in the spring tournament.

The World Baseball Classic occurs every four years, however with the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament took a two-year hiatus and has returned this spring. For many, it is a great honor and opportunity to represent their country on the international stage.

  • Owen Caissie, OF (CAN)
  • Danis Correa, RHP (COL)
