The Chicago Cubs shifted to LED lights at Wrigley Field this season.

It hasn’t been a smooth process.

After eight games, the Cubs are looking at adjusting their new lights, according to Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The change has largely been accepted, but it hasn’t been a seamless transition.

“They’re bright,” third baseman Patrick Wisdom told the Sun-Times. “Really bright.”

Cubs spokesperson Julian Green told the Sun-Times that the field had already been scheduled for a light audit from Major League Baseball, which the league office conducts every other year at all of its ballparks.

“I have no issue because I have lights coming from both ways,” outfielder Cody Bellinger told the Sun-Times.

Bellinger and other players have been on the field testing the brightness of the lights to get them just right.

“We were just wondering what’s possible,” he said.

The Sun-Times reported that the group also included president of business operations Crane Kenney, president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer and engineers from Musco Lighting, the company that installed the LED lights in November.

This is an important issue to solve as the Cubs have deep postseason aspirations. The last thing they want is to have a ball get lost in the lights during a critical playoff game.
