MLB Winter Meetings 2015: Ben Zobrist's Decision Down to Two National League Teams

NASHVILLE - Royals free agent second basemen Ben Zobrist is getting closer to choosing a new team, as Ken Rosenthal from Fox Sprots reports that his decision is down to two teams.
Source: Zobrist choosing between #Mets and #Cubs. Comparable offers. Only question is which team he wants to join. #Nationals on periphery.

It's interesting that the two teams that are in the race are the two that appeared in the National League Championship Series last season, won by the Mets who lost the World Series to the Royals, the team Zobrist is leaving for greener pastures.
Zobrist last season was traded from Oakland to Kansas City, and in the 126 games between the two teams hit .276 with 13 homers and 56 RBI and 36 doubles.
He started his career with Tampa, playing nine seasons and making two All-Star game appearances. He's never hit .300 in his career, his best season coming in 2009 when he was an All-Star, hitting .297 with 27 homers and 91 runs batted in.
