Miami Sets Mostly MLB Lineup Behind Starter Trevor Rogers

The Miami Marlins are showing us how they might configure the lineup in the regular season

The Miami Marlins are tuning up for the regular season.

On the road for Grapefruit League action this evening, the Marlins are sending a mostly MLB-caliber lineup to Clover Park in Port St. Lucie to take on the divisional rival New York Mets

Here's how the Marlins will line up for the contest:

2B Luis Arráez
DH Josh Bell
1B Jake Burger
CF Jazz Chisholm Jr.
SS Tim Anderson
LF Jesus Sánchez
RF Avasail García
3B Jon Berti
C Nick Fortes

Trevor Rogers continues his campaign for the 5th starter's spot, taking the ball to start this one. It's his second appearance of the spring, pitching two scoreless innings against Houston on March 5th with one strikeout and one hit.

The Mets game notes list righthanders Anthony Bender, Max Meyer, and Anthony Maldonado as well as lefthander Andrew Nardi queued up to follow Rogers in this one.

Here's how the Mets will line up at home:

LF Brandon Nimmo
SS Francisco Lindor
1B Pete Alonso
C Francisco Alvarez
RF Starling Marte
3B Brett Baty
DH Marl Vientos
2B Joey Wendle
CF Harrison Bader

Tylor Megill starts for the Mets, 1-1 with a 1.13 ERA in his 8.0 innings pitched so far this spring. He's struck out 13 across his three appearances, walking two and allowing only four hits. Similar to Rogers, he is locked in a battle for a rotation spot, currently the favorite over Joey Lucchesi and José Butto.

How to Watch the Miami Marlins and New York Mets on Monday, March 11th
