It's an exciting time to be a Baltimore Orioles fan. Not only did the team win 101 games and the AL East in 2023, but it also has an abundance of young talent in both the majors and minors.

The Orioles are built to contend for years to come.

They keep adding talent, too, making it tough for Baltimore fans to keep track of all their great prospects.

Pretty soon, they'll have a new budding star to keep their eye on.

According to MLB reporter Francys Romero, the Orioles are finalizing a deal with top international outfielder prospect from Cuba, Jordan Sánchez, in the coming days.

The deal is nearly final and is just pending a physical at this point. The Orioles are expected to give Sánchez a signing bonus between $400,000 and $450,000 once the deal is complete.

Sánchez is 18 years old but is tall and athletic for his age, measuring 6'2 and 190 pounds. He belongs to the Yuan Pino Academy and batted .328 with 16 home runs and 57 RBIs last year, showing impressive power and contact skills.

After leaving Cuba in July, Sánchez is now considered one of the top international prospects in the sport due to his bat speed and pop. His last showcase drew an exceptional level of interest with over 20 MLB teams in attendance, so he's already on nearly everybody's radar.

Given his age and inexperience, Sánchez still has a ways to go before he reaches the big leagues, but his future looks bright.

If he lives up to his potential, Baltimore may have another star on its hands.
