The Kansas City Royals and Adam Frazier are in agreement on a one-year, $2 million deal, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com.

Frazier spent one season with the Baltimore Orioles and was a fan favorite. He appeared in 141 games during the 2023 season and slashed .240/.300/.396 with 13 home runs. His 13 home runs were the most of his career.

The Royals have been active this offseason as they look to start competing in the American League Central. After being one of the worst teams in baseball throughout the past few seasons, they're hopeful that things will change in the near future.

While Frazier isn't a player who's going to win or lose a team many games, he's a great veteran option to have. This will be his ninth big league season and all he's done in those nine years is show up and play at a serviceable level.

Frazier's 2021 season was the best of his career. He slashes .305/.368/.411. He was named an All-Star for the first and only time in his career.

With the Orioles expecting to call up other prospects this season, there isn't room for Frazier. He can play multiple positions, but the talent in the minors is too good to keep down at some point.

The left-hitting 32-year-old will be appreciated for his efforts this past season. He was a big part of the culture change in Baltimore that led to the team having one of its best seasons in the history of the franchise.
