It should be any moment now that the Baltimore Orioles announce the plan for Jackson Holliday. The former No. 1 pick and consensus top prospect in baseball has earned every right to be on the big league roster and it's time for the Orioles to reward him with that.

Baltimore takes on the Los Angeles Angels on March 28, opening the season at home. Slashing .326/.370/.628 with two home runs, three doubles, and two triples, the 20-year-old should make his highly-anticipated debut during the opener.

What's impressed most about Holliday is his ability to not let the moment get too big. There haven't been many instances in Spring Training that he pressed, showing a maturity level that often isn't seen from a player of his age.

Having a father who put together an impressive big-league career helps, but that's just an added bonus for Holliday.

In the final week of Spring Training, the phenom started the week with a bang, going 2-3 with a home run. Again, another time where he showed he deserves to have an opportunity to play at the highest level.

After the game, Holliday spoke about how he's playing with Jake Rill of MLB.com.

"I feel pretty good with where my game's at. Whatever they decide, they decide, right?"

He also understands that this decision isn't in his control. All he could do during Spring Training was go out and prove he deserved a job, which he certainly did.

If the Orioles want to put the best nine players on the field every game, Holliday should be on the big league roster. If the front office is serious about winning, then they'll have their superstar prospect on this club for Opening Day.
