Padres' Fernando Tatis Jr. Reveals Heckling He's Heard at Dodger Stadium

In this story:
Going to a professional baseball game can be a very unique experience.
This is especially the case for those who sit in the outfield bleachers. Some believe the 'real fans' sit out here, where the prices might be cheaper, but the energy and passion are unrivaled compared to pretty much anywhere else in the park.
We've seen it in films within the Major League series, and also in real life. Wrigley Field and Fenway Park especially come to mind. You'll see outfielders talking back and forth with fans. Sometimes it's friendly, and other times it can get...weird.
An amused Fernando Tatis Jr. said the heckling from the outfield stands tonight included a suggestion that he had gotten a Brazilian butt lift. "You hear a little bit of everything (playing at Dodger Stadium)," Tatis said.

Fernando Tatis Jr. encountered some of this strangeness Friday night when his Padres played the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. The outfield section at Chavez Ravine is known as being carnival-like in the atmosphere, where the die-hards literally bleed Dodger Blue.
During the middle of San Diego's 8-7 victory, Tatis Jr. was heckled by the outfield fans with some rather odd material. The mention of plastic surgery is rather comical considering that the city of Los Angeles has a reputation for its residents participating in the act quite liberally.
There are also a couple of fun things at play here. The Dodgers and Padres have cultivated a little bit of a rivalry over the last few years. Manny Machado and Yu Darvish both had somewhat rough albeit brief tenures with the Dodgers before leaving. Machado loves trolling the Dodgers' fan base whenever making a big play or knocking the ball out of the park.
There's the factor of geography, where the two franchises are roughly two hours from each other.
THIS GAME! 😳

Lastly, Tatis Jr. played the role of a villain on Friday night -- hitting a massive home run to tie the game in the 7th inning.
With the Padres and Dodgers slated to play again Sunday evening, we can only imagine as to what Tatis Jr. might hear from the crowd out at Dodger Stadium.
