Cubs at Padres: Lineups, How to Watch, Predictions, and More

How will the Padres fare versus the Cubs?

The San Diego Padres will host the Chicago Cubs on Monday. The Padres come into this game after a 12-4 win over the Seattle Mariners

The Padres are maintaining six hitters from their lineup yesterday after what was a phenomenal batting day. San Diego scored 12 runs and hit three home runs, with Fernando Tatis Jr., Ha-Seong Kim and Luis Campusano all notching the homer.

Those three were the highlights of the hitters yesterday. Tatis and Kim each score the home run, two RBIs and a hit. Campusano recorded two RBIs and two runs along with his homer.

Despite his performance, Campusano is one of the three players getting swapped out of today's lineup along with Tyler Wade and Tim Locastro. Jurickson Profar, Eguy Rosario, and Kyle Higashioka will fill in. Kim will also move to the top of the lineup.

Predictions

Padres 4, Cubs 3

More

Jhony Brito will get the start today. Brito so far is 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA and four strikeouts.

On the Cubs side, Jordan Wicks will get the start. So far through the Cactus League slate, Wicks has been great with a 2-0 record, 1.93 ERA and three strikeouts. The Cubs overall rank just 20th in ERA at 5.01, but Wicks is one of their best pitchers which could pose a challenge to the Padres.

The Cubs look to have the advantage in pitching starters, at least on paper, so the rest of the Padres squad will have to step up to support Brito.
