Former Padres Star Juan Soto Homers in First Spring Training Game With Yankees

Juan Soto goes oppo!

Former San Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto, who was dealt to the New York Yankees in the offseason, crushed a home run in his first spring training game with his new team on Sunday.

In the bottom of the fourth, Soto took a ball up and out off the scoreboard in left-center field for a three-run bomb.

According to Statcast, Soto’s home run traveled an estimated 428 feet before bouncing off the scoreboard, which assures that it would have been a home run in any major league park.

Soto started in right field for the Yankees and batted second in the lineup.

After he was lifted from the game, he was interviewed about his personal goals for this season, and he told YES Network that he wants to hit a home run in all 30 ballparks.

"As I'm in the American League now, I want to hit a homer in all 30 ballparks. I'm missing six or seven. That's my goal for this year."

Padres fans are surely going to miss this slugger after his impressive debut in pinstripes.
