The San Diego Padres were cruising on Sunday afternoon, holding onto a four-run lead, until the bottom of the sixth inning. The Padres put in relief pitcher Woo-Suk Go and their lead evaporated very quickly. The team fell to the Angels by a score of 5-4.

Go was only able to get one out in the inning, allowing five runs on four hits with one walk. It was a poor outing for the Padres' free-agent signee and doesn't do him any justice in his attempt to showcase himself.

The good news for the Padres is that starter Jhony Brito looked incredible in his outing. He went 4.2 innings, allowing zero runs and just four hits, striking out six batters.

He made a case for himself to be in the starting rotation with this performance, showing he has what it takes. The Padres have been trying to figure out their rotation all spring and should soon finalize everything with the season starting.

Second baseman Eguy Rosario drove in two runs, going 1-3 on the day.

Oscar Mercado drove in a run with a single, going 1-2 on the afternoon.

Next up for the Padres is a date with the Seattle Mariners tomorrow. The game is scheduled for a start time of 1:10 pm PT at Peoria Sports Complex.
