The San Diego Padres seemed to be in their best position since the beginning of the 2023 season as they finally welcomed back Fernando Tatis Jr. and Joe Musgrove. Even though they entered the year with a ton of expectations around them, they haven't been able to meet them just yet due to a number of factors.

But it looked like they finally had health and recovery processes on their side and it looked like they were a couple more steps closer to a fully healthy roster. However, Yu Darvish exited Sunday's match against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a visible hamstring injury and everybody held their breath in the process.

Never fear though, Padres fans, it appears that one of our best starting pitchers is going to be okay. He has avoided any serious blow to his hamstring and he simply had to leave the game due to some cramps.

"It just cramped up on me a little bit, the hamstring," said Darvish. "I was trying to stretch it out a little bit on the mound. Usually, that releases it, but the cramp didn't go away. So that's why I was taken out."

Thus far into the season, Darvish has continued to be a serviceable option at the mound for the Friars. He has pitched in 24 innings and is posting a 3.00 ERA while only allowing 15 hits and eight runs. 25 batters have also been strikes out thanks to him.

It would've been very bad for the Padres to lose Darvish for any extended amount of time and we hope the cramps do not reappear.
