The San Diego Padres starting rotation is full of question marks right now, other than the top two on the list. Both Yu Darvish and Joe Musgrove are known commodities for San Diego and are crucial to the success of this team.

Darvish was supposed to make another Spring Training start yesterday, but the game ended up being rained out. Now he is scheduled to make his final Cactus League start on Monday, giving him one last ramp-up until the Padres open their season in Korea against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Darvish finished the 2023 season on the injured list, but he feels healthy as we approach the new season. He has been a little up and down to start the spring, but the Padres are confident in his abilities.

Through his two starts this spring, Darvish has posted an ERA of 3.38 over 5.1 innings. He has struck out nine batters while putting up a WHIP of 1.13.

Being one of the only experienced members of the Padres rotation this year, Darvish will directly be connected to how competitive this team is. If he can show out this season, San Diego will be in a good spot.

Last season, Darvish posted an ERA of 4.56 over 24 starts. He struggled to find any consistency throughout the year, but he is hopeful to regain his form this season.
