San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers: How to Watch, Predictions, and More

The first pitch is at 12:08 p.m. PT.

The San Diego Padres were thumped at home 14-1 by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday and turn the page to Friday when they travel to Glendale for the Dodgers Cactus League home opener.

On the mound for the Padres is Jhony Brito who is hoping to impress manager Mike Shildt and earn a spot in the rotation for this season.

The rest of the lineup doesn't have any projected everyday starters for the Padres but does include some roster hopefuls like Kyle Higashioka. However, the majority of Friday's starting lineup is composed of non-roster invitees.

How to Watch

Friday's game is another national broadcast on ESPN and starts at 12:08 p.m. PT. The radio broadcast will be on MLB.com.

Predictions

On paper, the lineups are lopsided in favor of the Dodgers. Los Angeles has a handful of everyday starters getting their first Cactus League action and is starting Landon Knack on the mound. He was named the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Year last season.

Dodgers will win this one, 8-1.
