Padres Players React To Insane Saturday Win in Mexico City

In this story:
San Diego Padres fans.... I have some news for you. You may wake up one of these days following the conclusion of the weekend and discover that the franchise is officially announcing a move to Mexico City.
It really wouldn't surprise me considering just how dominant the Friars looked in their first outing against the San Fransisco Giants this season on Saturday. The final score ended at 16-11 and they were able to bomb six home runs. The big four in Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, Juan Soto, and Fernando Tatis Jr. were all able to record at least one along with a 42-year-old Nelson Cruz.
Talk about putting on a show for those who attended.

This is the best possible outcome that could have came out of this first half of the trip so far. With everything that being one of the first squads to ever play an official game with the MLB comes with, our Padres stars have been able to rise the occasion.
Members of the Friars are super honored to be a part of this historic event and also came into it viewing it as a way to get back on track in a different environment. Their offense had been dry and stagnant for weeks now and a 16-run victory could not have come at a better time.
Let's take a look at what Juan Soto had to say about the night as a whole, he kept it very simple and straight to the point.
I love it," said Soto. "I loved every second, every moment."

I can only imagine how good it felt for the 24-year-old superstar to finally see some success at the plate.
He has been under heavy criticism from the fans and hopefully this is a turning point in the season to get him in the right direction. He has been working day and night to do so.
Just wanted to post this video of Juan Soto working at hitting it the other way for anyone who thinks he doesn’t care

Joe Musgrove was also brutally honest about how he felt but also was excited to play in front of the fans.
“Out of control,” said Musgrove. “I can’t say I love pitching here. But that’s one of the funnest games I’ve ever been a part of.”

Finally, the man himself Fernando Tatis Jr. said what was on everybody's mind.
"This is just what we needed," said Tatis. "I had goosebumps before the game started, and when you have those feelings, you definitely play better."

We hope to see similar play continue in Sunday's match.
