Frankie Montas on Signing With Cincinnati Reds: 'It Was An Easy Decision'
CINCINNATI — The Reds signed Frankie Montas to help solidify their starting rotation ahead of the 2024 season.
The right-hander missed the majority of the 2023 campaign with a shoulder injury. He passed his physical, is fully healthy and expects to make a big impact this season.
Montas discussed his decision to sign with the Reds and what was so attractive about the club in free agency during a recent appearance on MLB Network.
"It was just an easy decision. They have a really great team," Montas said. "They're all electric and I wanted to be a part of that. I wanted to be a part of a team that wants to win and the Reds were the best fit for me."
