With playoff elimination on the outset if the Voyagers lost, they battled for 10 innings but came up short in a walk-off, 2-1 loss. The Chukars added a run quickly in the first inning, just two batters into their half. The Voyagers pitching would shut them down for the next eight innings, though.

Chase Solesky started the game and it was one of his best starts of the season; what a way to end his year. He went five innings and only allowed that one run in the fifth inning. The bullpen was even better, especially 14th round pick McKinley Moore. He threw two perfect innings and struck out four batters. He has been fantastic since his promotion from the AZL and has not allowed a run in his three appearances.

The Voyagers did finally add a run in the fifth inning. It was a single from the catcher, Ty Greene, that sent Luis Mieses home. Mieses doubled earlier in the inning to get into scoring position. Unfortunately, the offense couldn't put anything together. They didn't hit, and didn't hit for power. After a late winning streak that improved their slim playoff chances, this loss and a Billings Mustangs win takes them out of the playoff race.
