Patrick Beverley Sends Message to Philly After Facing Sixers

Patrick Beverley shows love to Philly after helping Bucks take down Sixers.

Over the offseason, the Philadelphia signed Patrick Beverley in free agency to solidify their second unit. Along with veteran leadership, the journeyman guard was expected to bring a heightened level of intensity to a team looking to contend.

It took some time for him to find a groove, but Beverley ended up being productive for the Sixers. He continued to be a high-level defender, and had some big offensive performances as well. However, Beverley's time with the Sixers ended up getting cut short.

At the trade deadline, the Sixers decided to part ways with Beverley. He was dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for guard Cam Payne and a second-round pick.

On Thursday night, Beverley got to face off against the Sixers for the second time since the deadline deal. Thanks to a strong performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks took down the Sixers by a final score of 114-105.

After the game, Beverley hit social media for his typical "Belt 2 A$$" tour post. It was a tradition he started with the Sixers, and has since continued it with the Bucks. While he still made the post against his former team, he made sure to let the city know he still has love for them.

In the 15 games he's played with the Bucks so far, Beverley is averaging 5.4 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 2.1 APG. He's also increased his three-point shooting in Milwaukee, knocking down close to 37% of his attempts.

As for the Sixers, Cam Payne tried to have a revenge game of his own. He provided a big spark off the bench, notching 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the field.
