For 55th time, yes, LeBron player of week

So far, LeBron James has been the NBA's only Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the 2016-17 season. How's that for a follow-up to your first Cleveland banner?

James again earned the honor Monday -- his second straight and 55th time overall. The Cavs are 6-0 and the season is just two weeks old.

For the Cavs, it's the 55th time a player from the franchise has been so honored, and the 36th time for James as a member of the team.

Per the Cavs:

In three games this past week, James led the Cavs to a perfect 3-0 record after averaging a near triple-double of 24.7 points, 11.3 assists and 9.3 rebounds in 36.0 minutes. Among Eastern Conference leaders, James ranked first in assists per game (11.3), first in plus/minus (+44), second in double-doubles (3), fifth in points per game (24.7) and 11th in rebounds per game (9.3).

There's more:

The 12-time NBA All-Star notched a double-double in every game this past week and was the only player in the NBA to average at least 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists. He also scored in double figures in all three games, increasing his streak of consecutive games with at least 10 points to 723 (third-longest in NBA history).

George Hill of the Utah Jazz was named the Western Conference Player of the Week.
