Draft combine, check. NBA draft, check.

Next up on the list for the league's up-and-coming players is the NBA Summer League. It's a time when fans get to see what their team's draft picks look like and when undrafted players prove they belong on a roster.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are no exception to this and they just released their roster for the 2023 Summer League. This is who will suit up in the wine and gold for the Cavs in Las Vegas next month:

  • Emoni Bates - Eastern Michigan
  • Mike Bothwell - Furman
  • Sharife Cooper - Cleveland Charge
  • Khalifa Diop - Gran Canaria
  • Wendell Green - Auburn
  • Cedric Henderson Jr. - Arizona
  • Sam Merrill - Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Isaiah Mobley - Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Pete Nance - Noth Carolina
  • Craig Porter Jr. - Wichita State
  • Devontae Shuler - Cleveland Charge
  • Luke Travers - Perth Wildcats
  • Fabian White - South Bay Lakers

One name that immediately stands is Cleveland's second-round pick for the 2023 NBA Draft, Emoni Bates. It will be interesting to see how Bates plays against some current NBA talent. He struggled during his freshman year at Memphis and then averaged 19.2 points per game at Eastern Michigan the following year.

A couple of other players to watch are Sam Merrill and Isaiah Mobley. Both players were on Cleveland's roster last season and will be looking to get playing time this year. Now is the time for them to show J.B. Bickerstaff what they can bring to the table.

The Cavs play their first Summer League game on July 7 against the Nets at 8:30 pm EST.
