The list of players that the Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in counties to grow larger. From under-the-radar players to larger trade rumors, the NBA's silly season is certainly underway as free agency is upon us.

The latest player the Cavs have expressed interest in is Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Brides, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

From a basketball perspective, Bridges would be a dream fit for the Cavs.

He's someone who could start at the wing and create his own shot while also being an effective three-point shooter. The last full season he played in was 2021-22. He averaged 20.2 points per game and shot 49 percent from the floor in the 80 games he played.

Darius Garland also took a picture with Bridges and posted it a few days ago showing the two of them may already have a prior relationship.

Unlike the other free agents on the market, Bridges is restricted. This means that the Hornets have already extended the $7.9 million qualifying offer to him and the front office can match any offer that he's given.

However, there's another conversation that needs to be had and this conversation should be the first one held by Koby Altman and his team who apparently want to sign him.

There's a reason Bridges didn't play a single game last year. He was involved in a domestic altercation with his spouse that took place in front of their two children. Bridges was arrested and pleaded no-contest to the charges and was later suspended 30 games by the NBA.

I will say it now, if the Cavs do reach an agreement with Bridges it will be a disappointing step by the front office who have created a strong culture in the locker room.
