Isaac Okoro Leaves Cavs-Rockets Game With Injury

Caris LeVert leaves Cleveland Cavaliers-Houston Rockets game with knee soreness.

Sunday night was supposed to be a game full of joys as the Cleveland Cavaliers are just one win away from clinching their first playoff berth since 2018. Cleveland held a convincing lead heading into half time and it appeared that those good vibes were rolling.

But Caris LeVert surprisingly took the floor as Cleveland went back out to play the final 24 minutes of the game. The shocking move was head-scratching considering that Isaac Okoro was the starter and LeVert has found his role in recent weeks coming off the bench.

Then about midway through the third quarter, it was announced that Okoro had left the game with "left knee soreness" and would remain OUT for the remainder of the game.

Fingers crossed that this injury is just precautionary as the Cavs look to clinch a playoff spot. Okoro has had an up-and-down career and season, but he's been an integral part of this team since January.

Okoro has always been known for his athleticism and defense, but the three-point shooting is finally coming alive. He's shot 44 percent from behind the arc since January and even knocked down the game-winning shot against the Brooklyn Nets in the previous game.
