Cavs Return Home With A Chance To Clinch Playoffs With Win Over Rockets
The Cleveland Cavaliers will return home after a quick two-game road trip to Brooklyn to take on the Nets in consecutive games. The Cavs came out of both of those games victorious and are now on a three-game winning streak.
Cleveland's next opponent will be the Houston Rockets and there's a lot on the line in this game.
The Cavs had a chance to clinch a playoff spot on Saturday night, even though they weren't playing. If the Nets had lost to the Miami Heat then Cleveland would've punched their ticket. However, that didn't happen.
Now, the Cavs' destiny is in their own hands. If they can pull off a win against the Rockets then they'll clinch a spot in the playoffs for the first time since their Finals run in 2018.
Cleveland's last game aginst the Rockets tells us that this is a very real possibility.

The Cavs have beaten the Rockets in four of their last five meetings. Cleveland played the Rockets earlier this season on January 26 and convincingly beat them 113 to 95. The key difference in that game was the 40 points that the Cavs scored of Rocket turnovers.
Evan Mobley also shined in their first matchup of the season as he scored 21 points, blocked two shots, and grabbed 10 rebounds. However, Donovan Mitchell was the one who led the way in that game with 26 points.
If Cleveland can recreate the defensive master class that they had in January then they'll be able to shift their focus to their playoff matchup.
