The 2023 NBA Draft is quickly approaching and everyone wants to know who the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to take at pick 49. The Cavs currently own one second-round pick and there could always be a lot of talent left at that spot.

However, they may not want to wait that long to make their selection in the draft. ESPN's Brian Windhorst revealed that Cavs are in fact trying to trade into the first round.

This doesn't mean that Cleveland will all of a sudden have a top-10 pick in the draft and have a lottery selection on the roster heading into next season. Windhorst says that fans should look at the Portland Trail Blazers' first-round pick at 23.

The Cavs do have some trade pieces they could use if they wanted to move up. They still have that second-round pick and players such as Cedi Osman and Isaac Okoro could be used as well.

Draft season is always a chaotic time whether teams have a top selection or not. It appears that Cleveland will be one of the more active teams leading up to draft night.
