The Cleveland Cavaliers' biggest need this offseason is blatantly clear. They need a wing that can play solid defense and knock down threes at an efficient rate.

It looks like the team is searching for that in this year's draft, but they should also look to the free-agent market for a more proven player as well. Luckily, there is a forward who will be available that would make a lot of sense on the Cavaliers.

That's T.J. Warren.

The Cavaliers were reportedly interested in signing Warren last year before he signed a one-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets. So, it wouldn't be too surprising to see the organization pursue him once again.

Warren has had an up-and-down career. He had a four-year stretch from 2017-2021 where he averaged more than 15 points a game with the most being 19.8 during the 2019-2020 season.

However, he missed the entire 2021-2022 season with a foot injury. Last year he split time between the Nets and Phoenix Suns averaging just 7.5 points a game. So yes, the production dropped off, but he still has a solid track record.

Warren is a career 35 percent three-point shooter while also averaging 4.0 rebounds a night. He's a veteran who has playoff experience which is something Cavs could use after their first-round exit to the New York Knicks.

He showed flashes of the player he could be on a few occasions last season. This included a 23-point performance against the Cavs back in December.

Signing Warren would be a low-risk, high-reward opportunity for the Cavs. They need to bolster their depth at wing and Warren could be that guy.
