REPORT: Evan Mobley To Miss 'Extended Time' For Cavaliers

Cleveland Cavaliers: Evan Mobley's ankle injury will sideline him indefinitely.

Tuesday night's victory over the Boston Celtics felt like something out of a movie script for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Underdog role player who worked his way through the system explodes in the fourth quarter to beat the NBA's best team.

However, it wasn't all great news at the end of the night. Evan Mobley visibly rolled his ankle in the third quarter, gingerly limped to the locker room, and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.

J.B. Bickerstaff said after the game that he had little information on what happened. Not even 24 hours later the latest news isn't positive for Cavs fans. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that a source told him that Mobley "will be out a while." There was no other timetable given for his return.

Injuries are taking down the Cavaliers as we speak. Donovan Mitchell will remain out at least against the Atlanta Hawks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Max Strus will also be out on Wednesday night as he deals with a knee strain.

Mobley's injury is just the latest is just the latest to this long list.

The third-year forward has already missed a plethora of games this season. Mobley was from the beginning of December until the end of January after undergoing knee surgery.

Mobley is currently averaging 15.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while playing elite defense on the floor. The Cavs will miss this production while he remains out.
