Sam Hauser Interested in Joining Three-Point Contest
Sam Hauser could potentially represent the Boston Celtics in the Three-Point Contest at NBA All-Star weekend. This season, Hauser has made 110 of his 264 three-point attempts.
As captured by NBC Sports Boston, Hauser would likely accept an invitation to be in the event.
“It would be cool, for sure. I’m not really hanging my head over it. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t… If I don’t end up going, I get to spend more time with my family, which I’ll love. If I do get to go, it’ll be cool to be part of.”
Hauser recalled his previous three-point contest experience.
“I’ve done one (three-point contest) (during) my senior year of high school, a national three-point contest. I didn’t win. I think I might’ve took third (place).”
According to Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report, Jalen Brunson will be competing in the contest. Brunson has made 129 of his 309 three-point attempts.
The 2024 Starry 3-Point Contest is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17 at 8:00 p.m. EST. Participants are yet to be officially announced.
