'They Understand': Jayson Tatum Shares Why He Rarely Misses Games

Jayson Tatum, who generated 30 points in the Celtics' St. Patrick's Day win over the Wizards, has played in 64 of Boston's 67 games this season.

The Boston Celtics took care of business in their quick trip to Washington, now winners of five consecutive games, beating the Washington Wizards 130-104.

Boston was without Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White, but they still won with ease in blowout fashion.

Sam Hauser could not miss from three as he was on his way to break Marcus Smart's Celtic record of 11 triples. Hauser was 10-13 from deep to give him 30 points in 30 minutes. The marksman landed on the foot of a player on the Wizards and ended up leaving with an ankle sprain to end his night early.

Luke Kornet and Payton Pritchard also shined again with 14 a piece. Pritchard had 13 assists and five rebounds, as well as a plus-16. Kornet was 5-9 in 20 minutes with six rebounds.

Jayson Tatum also led the way again, with another 30-piece with six assists and six rebounds, hitting 6-12 from downtown.

After the win, Tatum reminded everyone why he rarely likes to take games off.

"I've been here seven years; they understand kind of what they're dealing with; I don't like to sit out," Tatum said. "I understand if I was injured or whatever, but I said before, I just love to play the game."

Tatum has suited up in 64 of 67 games.

"Especially on the road, so many fans out there with Tatum 0 jerseys came to see me play. So, I kind of take pride in making sure I'm available as much as I can."

The Celtics go back home to host the Detroit Pistons on Monday night in Boston, looking to make it six straight wins.
