Chris Paul Injury Update Results Revealed

Chris Paul had an X-ray on his right hand.

It seemed as if Chris Paul may have suffered an injury as the Phoenix Suns defeated the LA Clippers in Game 2, but fortunately for the Suns, that doesn't seem to be the case.

After the game ended, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report reported that Paul received an X-ray on his right hand, and the results came back clean. Suns coach Monty Williams then revealed that Chris Paul is fine and had no issues with any injuries.

The concern came because there was a brief moment in Game 2 where Paul was flexing his hand and some watching the game may have thought he injured it. That clearly didn't seem to be the case though, because Paul then sealed the game in the fourth quarter with an array of jumpers.

The one thing to notice in this series is the heavy minutes that the Phoenix Suns are playing their superstar starters. Devin Booker and Kevin Durant both played 44 minutes in both Game 1 and Game 2. It remains to be seen if that decision will wear them down in this series, but it'll definitely have a major effect as the playoffs go on.

While the lack of rest in the series definitely hurts the Clippers from a standpoint of hoping to get Paul George back, it also hurts the Phoenix Suns from the standpoint of the heavy minutes their starters are playing.

The LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns face off in Game 3 at 10:30 pm EST on Thursday.
